The top is brightly colored and was able to spin easily. However, the suction cup on the bottom did not work and was useless. After about 3 weeks of use, the handle broke and I was not able to repair the top. Yes the top did provide the stimulation it advertised but the durability of the product is greatly lacking.

I have seen complaints about a flimsy handle BUT that is the best part!!! At what, mechanically is the most stressed point, rather than bend or break,it is designed to snap apart. I told my granddaughter that anyone can break things but a smart child can fix things. There is applause and "high fives" every time she "fixes" the handle. After several years the joint is still secure and I am buying a new one only due to cosmetic dings and dents.

I bought this top for my 4yr. old for Christmas last year. He liked the colors of it and the colors when it was spinning were hypnotizing but after a few months the handle stripped and bent.

I was looking for a top for my 2 yo grandson. The product was rated for an older child but I read the reviews and one mentioned a 21 month old being able to play with the top. My grandson loves to make it spin. Be careful only one hand on the top ball to make it spin, could pinch the other hand if left on top while pushing down the plunger. Kent - Phoenix

I got this for my grandkids and they love it, it was inexpensive and they play with it all the time. It is a old time favorite. Would highly recommend it. Diane, CT
